New Levy filed for Electronic Memory Cards

The Canadian Private Copying Collective (CPCC) has filed its proposed tariff for the years 2012-2013 with the Copyright Board of Canada.

CPCC has proposed to add "electronic memory cards" to the definition of blank audio recording medium. The proposed rates are: 50 cents for each electronic memory card with 1 gigabyte of memory or less; $1.00 for each electronic memory card with more than one gigabyte of memory but less than 8 gigabytes of memory; and $3.00 for each electronic memory card with 8 gigabytes of memory or more.

Review the proposed tariff

Objections must be filed with the Copyright Board no later than July 13, 2011
