Your informed opinions are necessary for this conversation. Breeders need a way to elevate their breeding program and separate it from 'puppy mills'; and a breeder certified quality mark is the answer. Without your input and support for a breeder-based solution, the door is left wide open for a third-party to step in and tell you how and when you can breed your animals. We already see this happening with municipal by-laws and animal rights campaigns aimed at controlling breeder activities.
You need to show up, shout out and set the stage to publicly identify good breeders like yourself. The Summits will bring forward the agenda, but you need to carry the conversation!
