Feeding stray cats could leave you responsible for their vaccinations

Earlier this month, a proposed law in the Philadelphia area suggested that people who feed cats could be responsible for their health.

The proposal would dictate that if you feed it, you own it. And if you own it, you're responsible for its vaccinations. According to Elaine Schaeffer, president of the Township's Board of Commissioners, the ban is not designed to eliminate feeding but to protect against rabies.

Violations could carry fines between $300 to $1,000.
