Terri comes to InfoStream with a resume chock full of urban animal expertise, including time spent writing for PetLynx. Her already present connections and passion for the industry will position Terri perfectly to develop exclusive interviews with thought leaders for the Urban Animal social communications program.
Terri's writing career has spanned three decades and, although she has written on a vast array of topics, the subject closest to her heart has always been the human companion animal bond. Past career developments include public relations and education officer for the Calgary Humane Society; freelance writing for the City of Calgary Animal & Bylaw Services; and member of the Discipline Committee for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. Terri is also the founding president and long-time volunteer with the Pet Loss Support Group.
Her efforts to effectively communicate responsible pet guardianship earned her an Alberta SPCA Media Person of the Year award, a special commendation award from the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies, three consecutive Canadian Kennel Club Writer of the Year Awards, plus a ‘Maxwell Award’ from the Dog Writers’ Association for the best canine-related newspaper column in North America.

Today, Terri Perrin is still a prolific freelance writer covering a vast array of topics. (www.terriPERRINink.com) In addition to having more than 2,500 articles in print and on the web, she has written two books and is working on a third. She and her husband share their Vancouver Island home with two geriatric cats and a recently acquired Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever puppy. She is also an avid equestrian and enjoys trail riding in the backcountry of beautiful British Columbia.
