Pets Plus Us launched its Champion Awards campaign earlier this month to recognize members of the community who champion pets, whether by volunteering, rescuing, sheltering, supporting or caring for urban animals.
"At Pets Plus Us, we meet people every day who are advocates for pets," said Randy Valpy, Top Dog at Pets Plus Us. "They are the special people in your community who are committed to making a difference and who champion pet owner happiness."
Six Champion Awards exist in three categories:
· Animal Health: Clinic and Veterinarian or Veterinary staff
· Community: Outreach group and shelters/rescue organization
· Individual: Volunteer and Pet Owner
To nominate, visit http://petsplusus.com/championawards. Nominations are open until June 30, when the public will be invited to vote. The top five nominations, as decided by voters, are presented to a panel, and the winners will be announced on October 24. Pets Plus Us will donate $1,500 to each winners' charity of choice.
