ASPCA Provides Over $4.4 Million in Grants during First Quarter of 2014

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) announced earlier this month it has granted nearly $4.5 million to animal welfare organizations across the country through the first three months of 2014. A total of 316 grants were issued to over 250 organizations in 44 states across the United States.

"The work and education of our grantees to bettering the lives of animals never ceases to inspire us," said Michael Barrett, vice president of grants management at the ASPCA. "The ASPCA has enjoyed seeing the success of our grantees this year and we look forward to the innovative ideas that will be crossing our desks as the year progresses.

Since 2008, the ASPCA has granted over $70 million to over 2,300 shelters, rescues and other animal welfare organizations across the country. To learn more about the ASPCA's Grants Program, interested animal welfare professionals can visit www.aspcapro.org/grants.
