Summit 2014 - Delegates, Dollars & Subsidies

The number of thought leaders attending Summit 2014 (October 22-25) has been set at 100. Approximately half of the delegates seats (48) for this ninth annual event have been reserved for Innovators, Emerging Leaders, Researchers and those nominated for Summit Awards as selected by industry peers in Urban Animal programs. 

The balance are reserved for members of the Alliance for Urban Animals in Humane/rescue, health/wellness, community standards/enforcement, community services/public health and commercial services/retail and for guests who have been invited to contribute to the industry understanding of the pet experience. There are limited seats left in each category.


Elements of the Summit program are designed to develop relationships, monitor industry metrics, facilitate the discussion of issues and dilemmas, establish strategy/tactics and showcase innovation:

    • Innovation Showcase
    • Evidence & Metrics Sessions
    • Research Posters
    • Voting to determine Innovator of 2014 and Research Poster of 2014
    • Business of the Urban Animal Foundation
  • Friday:
    • Friday morning keynote
    • Friday Forum
    • Voting to determine candidates for national initiatives or other actions
    • Summit Awards Gala
  • Saturday:
    • Urban Animal Leaders Breakfast and Keynote
    • Urban Animal Leaders Library


The all inclusive subscription for Summit 2014 has been set at $2,150* (2013 cost) which includes:

  • Summit Awards Gala
  • Urban Animal Subscription, Alumni services and Summit Resources

* Members of the Urban Animal Affiliate program (in good standing) can apply for the 2014 Affiliate Subsidy which has been set at $700. The affiliate subsidy recognizes delegate membership in recognized industry programs.
