Summit 2014 - Delegates, Dollars & Subsidies

The number of thought leaders attending Summit 2014 (October 22-25) has been set at 100. Approximately half of the delegates seats (48) for this ninth annual event have been reserved for Innovators, Emerging Leaders, Researchers and those nominated for Summit Awards as selected by industry peers in Urban Animal programs. 

The balance are reserved for members of the Alliance for Urban Animals in Humane/rescue, health/wellness, community standards/enforcement, community services/public health and commercial services/retail and for guests who have been invited to contribute to the industry understanding of the pet experience. There are limited seats left in each category.

Alumni Registration for Summit 2014 Ends in 10 days

The special registration rate for returning Summit Alumni will end on Thursday, 31 July 2014. Following this date the registration fee for the Ninth Annual Summit for Urban Animal Strategies rises to $2,150.

Unlike many other industry events the Summit registration is all inclusive and includes President level accommodation at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, all meals, events, keynotes, delegate package, annual Urban Animal subscription, gratuities and transfer from the Calgary Airport to the venue.

Summit 2014 is the leading industry event for 100 of North America’s thought leaders who gather to facilitate industry conversations, establish new strategies/tactics for Urban municipalities, showcase innovation, develop relationships and monitor important industry metrics.

In addition to the Innovation Showcase series, Facts & Evidence sessions, the Urban Animal Forum on Friday and the Industry Keynote Address, your registration permits entry to four prestigious industry events: Relationship Builder Reception, UA Foundation Dinner, Summit Awards Gala and the Leader’s Brunch & Keynote.

The rate of $2,150 is effective for registrations on or after 1 August 2014.

Important Summit 2013 Announcements

In 2013 the Urban Animal Program has expanded Summit delegate seats across five industry sectors and four areas of interest. 

In addition to the four previously recognized industry sectors, Community Services has been identified as a fifth sector serving pet owners. The Community Services sector includes urban planners, leisure/recreation, parks/trails/infrastructure, justice, wildlife and media. 

The 8th annual Summit for Urban Animal Strategies has been expanded to include additional positions for International Guests, Emerging Leaders and Summit Award nominees. Delegates are also being sought from our ancillary areas of interest: 

• Research including academic and commercial
• Education including scientists, health care providers/technicians
• Government agencies
• Legislators
