2014 Emerging Leader Scholarship recipients announced!

Board and Advisory members of the Urban Animal Foundation have awarded eight scholarships to Emerging Leaders in four categories to attend the 2014 Summit for Urban Animal Strategies. 

Fifteen applicants vied for this prestigious endowment. The program was enhanced in 2014 to include scholarships in four urban animal industry categories. Following careful consideration, the Foundation has selected the following individuals:  

Jerry Aschenbrenner Scholarship: Care & Control 
Kim Marosevich - 47% 
Tim Stevenson - 41%


Frederick Lynn Webster Scholarship: Health & Wellness
Susan Calverley –  35%
Christy Leslie –  41%

Rolf C. Hagen Scholarship: Retail & Commercial Services
Rodney Habib –  29%
Valina Pope – 29%



Scholarship for Humane & Rescue
Jodi Dunlop - by acclamation 
Kim Bloome - by acclamation 


The Emerging Leader Scholarships were launched in 2010 to ensure that prospect leaders are granted insight into executive collaboration.

The Emerging Leader program illuminates future leaders for the benefit of organizations who wish to hire emerging talent.

Two emerging leaders in each scholarship program are awarded a Scholarship worth up to $2,650 to attend the 2014 Summit for Urban Animal Strategies, October 22-25.  Scholarships include a Full Delegate Package and up to $550 towards travel costs. 

The Foundation would like to thank all applicants whose commitment to creating healthy communities for pets and people has not gone unnoticed!
