Well known industry voice and ED, Patricia Cameron was featured in a recent Saskatoon story. The Star Phoenix reported on a summers work to understand and potentially cap the number of pets allowed in each Saskatoon home.
While this urban animal dilemma has attracted attention in municipalities right across North America, capping the number of pets in a blanket approach may not be useful. Eliminating hording and backyard breeding is a conversation about an issue that remains unsolved.
Ever the practical voice, Cameron, noted the conversation was sucking up a lot of resources without reaching a conclusion to control the number of pets in each household. The committees recommendations will be presented later this year.
