2012 Summit Smooth Sailing

Day one of the 2012 International Summits for Urban Animal Strategies is wrapping up. Seventy alumni and delegates are gathered at the Chateau Lake Louise to network, problems solve and learn.

Today's Speaker Sessions featured eight presentations ranging from all four sectors of the companion animal industry. A few of the topics covered included: cat statistics, future projections for the care of cats and overpopulation solutions; veterinary care and it's need to catch up to the digital age of communication; bridging the gap between vets and pet owners and; collaboration across the industry.

Tonight the Summit turns its attention to collaboration - a key theme emerging from ISUAS conversations. The Collaborator's Dinner will highlight four collaboration success stories and encourage industry leaders to remember that:

"It is the long history of humankind (and animal kind, too) those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed." - Charles Darwin
