2014 - Creating Healthy Communities for Pets & People
Innovation has been taking place in communities across the continent. These unique and forward-thinking concepts, relationships and models are helping shape the industry and the 2014/2015 Innovation Showcase is devoted to illuminating these innovative ideas and sharing them with the nation. This year, up to six Innovation Showcase spaces will be filled by local organizations who are improving the quality of life for people and pets in homes, communities and industry sectors.
The 2013/2014 Innovation Keynotes will highlight the top innovations of the past year and provide replication tools for other communities across Canada. Kijiji's Shawn McIntyre and Dr. Drew Van Niekerk will also address delegates with relevant and timely Keynotes focusing on the Pet Experience Project and the affects of pet sourcing on a positive pet experience.
Dr. Jason Coe, University of Guelph, is the 2014 Director of Regional Conference programs. Under his capable direction, delegates will develop a greater understanding of the pet experience and trends that are impacting the Urban Animal Industry.
As the Urban Animal Regional Conference team moves across Canada, the process of discovering 2014 Emerging Leaders and the 2014 Summit Award Nominees will also unfold. Deserving candidates will be recruited from each region and entered into the 2014 Nomination Process.
The 2014 Urban Animal Regional Conference accepts 60 subscribers in each region. In addition to the various sectors of the urban animal industry, the program is also reaching out to Urban Planners, Sociologists, Academics, Lawyers and Legislators in each region as well as Leisure and Recreation specialists who can add value to this conversation.
Subsidy vouchers are provided by Urban Animal sponsors for members and affiliates of many national and local organizations. Contact your industry reps or PetLynx Corporation to see if you qualify.
