Three Steps to Summit Nomination

There is still time to nominate your peers for a 2013 Urban Animal Summit. 

The Urban Animal Summits are presented annually by Summit Alumni at the Summit for Urban Animal Strategies (SUAS) in October. Summit awards are focused on recognizing those within communities and within the industry who are achieving success; who have shown exemplary commitment and/or ingenuity; and who are dedicated to promoting healthy communities for pets and people. 

Twelve Summit categories entail all five sectors and touch all levels of the industry. The SUAS also awards upcoming individuals who show promise and advancement in the industry through the Future Leader Scholarship program. 

Summit Nomination Process

1. All nominations will be posted to the PetLynx Public Wiki to be vetted by the voting Alumni.
2. In August a series of YourSAY surveys are sent out to the voting Alumni in every region so that your peers can decide which four nominations from every category will move on to the voting rounds.
3. In September the voting rounds commence in a similar YourSAY survey with the goal of having all the voting completed well in advance of the Summit.

How can you be involved?

1. Nominate an organization or individual that you believe has done some amazing work.  We don't often get to congratulate people on a job well done so take this opportunity.
2. If you're nominated, make sure that your peers know about you and that they vote for you. Get out there and tell your story and help them understand why you deserve to win.
3. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE! It's a privilege to be able to encourage the others in our fields who excel at what they do. Take the time to take part and communicate that message.

How to Nominate?

1. Nominators must be in one of the following Peer Groups:
   • Advocate
   • Mentor
   • Alumni
   • Associate
   • Sponsor
2. Nominations are accepted by way of the Nomination Form and attachments can be uploaded directly to the corresponding Nomination List pages. Please note you DO NOT need a username or password in order to upload attachments.
   • All Attachments should be named in the following style, any documents not named correctly will be removed. Please notice there are NO spaces between words. nomineename.2013.awardname.filename.fileextension
   • Accepted file types are .pdf and .jpg.
   • No more than three attachments of three pages each per nomination.
3. All nominations must include the following information:
   • Nominee Contact Information: Contact Name, Organization Name, Phone Number, Email (in the case of the Community Collaboration award this should be included for each nominee.)
   • Nominator Contact Information: Contact Name, Organization Name, Phone Number, Email
   • Three points of merit.
