Registration has begun for 2014 National Cupcake Day.A massive undertaking powered by the BC SPCA and the Ontario SPCA last year resulted in a nation-wide collaboration of humane societies and SPCAs and raised over $400,000 for local societies.
National Cupcake Day was originally founded by the Royal SPCA in Australia where it has successfully raised over $1 million. The event raises funds to support homeless, abused and injured animals in Canadian humane societies and SPCAs by encouraging participants to bake cupcakes for others in exchange for a donation.
Nearly 50 organizations across the country have registered to join in the 2014 campaign which will take place Monday, February 24, 2014. Registration for the event is free and be accessed HERE.
