Canada's veterinary feline specialists created Cat Healthy, an initiative to help more cats recieve the preventative healthcare they need to live longer, healthier lives.
During the 2014 Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Convention, Cat Healthy officially launched its new website showcasing a number of preventative healthcare protocols designed to provide practical recommendations to raise the standard of care for cats across Canada.

Cat Healthy is the only program in Canada that was created by Canada's five local board-certified feline veterinary specialists. CVMA is pleased to support cathealthy.ca and its protocols.

Save the date! 2014 CVMA Convention
Thirty-six session covering all cats to cows and shelter medicine to neurology, are being offered. Hands on experience can be gained in dental or orthopaedic labs and CVMA's Business Management session will focus on improving communication skills with staff and clients.
Several receptions will provide networking and social opportunities and the chance to experience Newfoundland hospitality.

CVMA seeks Convention speakers
The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) is seeking interested speakers to present at their 2015 Convention.
The annual CVMA Convention offers comprehensive education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians with a focus on best medicine practices and timely topics. Speaking opportunities consist of lectures, interactive sessions, or wet labs directed at the veterinarian.
CVMA is inviting interested speakers who can contribute a minimum of a half-day of content (three, 50-minute speaking slots) OR a full-day (six, 50-minute speaking slots) to submit an abstract. Suggestions are invited for lectures, wet labs, workshops and interactive sessions.
All submissions must be received by 1 February 2014.

CVMA mobile app streamlines Convention info
The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) released a smart phone app to help attendees navigate their way through the CVMA Convention 10-13 July 2013.
The app includes session descriptions, speaker bios and photos, a list of attendees, the ability to create your own interactive personalized agenda, real-time session evaluations and alerts and updates. This free app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows.

CVMA Conventions opens registration and announces theme
The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) announced its theme for the 65th Convention running 10-13 July 2013 in Victoria B.C. "Ocean of Knowledge, Mountains of Progress" links the scenic beauty of Western Canada to the current and progressive knowledge that will be shared at the meeting.
A strong scientific program, with 28 speakers from Canada and the United States has been developed and offers four days worth of labs and concurrent streams exploring companion animal, equine, bovine and animal welfare topics.
Registration for the 2013 CVMA Convention is now open.
