CANADIANS WOULD GIVE UP ALCOHOL, CHOCOLATE AND COFFEE BEFORE THE INTERNET

The latest installment of the Rogers Innovation Report reveals that many Canadians would give up alcohol, chocolate and coffee before the Internet. Thirty-four per cent would give up alcohol, 31% cent would go without chocolate and 27% would skip coffee.

The report also found that more than three quarters (79%) of Canadians say that the Internet allows them to connect in ways that makes their lives better now and 72% expect the Internet to play an increasingly important role in the next five years. Those surveyed also said they are using the Internet to connect with family and friends (98%), follow the news (97%), do their personal banking and manage their finances (94%), research health issues and symptoms (93%) and watch movies and television (92%).
