Benefits of pet ownership

As the 2013 Regional Conferences approach, leaders in the companion animal industry are thinking seriously about the Pet Experience Project, a conversation forged at Summit 2012 that has stakeholders considering the benefits and barriers faced by pet owners in urban centres. 

A post published by Hartz Mountain Corporation last week highlighted some benefits of owning a dog, including health, safety, social and companionship. Hartz claims that while many people bring dogs into their homes because "We enjoy the love and companionship", there are numerous less obvious benefits and quirks.
