The Ontario SPCA is advocating a new campaign for the month of March aimed at spaying and neutering pets.
The campaign, "Spay it Forward", encourages pet owners and pet lovers to support the movement by donating the average cost of a spay/neuter procedure in one of the province's shelters. OSPCA reports a pet overpopulation crisis in Ontario, stating that, "each year, tens of thousands of dogs and cats end up on the streets, where they fall victim to neglect and abuse, or in shelters in search of new homes."
