2013 Summit for Lifetime Achievement Nominations are from Central and Atlantic Regions

Two finalists vie for the Urban Animal Industry's highest award the Summit for Lifetime Achievement:
  1. Deborah Chalmers for initiating the Toronto Feral Cat Project, for driving the development of best practices and for facilitating the development of the feral feline community in a large urban municipality. 
  2. Paul Melanson for activities to establish a judicial framework for the protection of pets that in June 2010 resulted in legislation to license and regulate pet establishments in the province of New Brunswick.
The 2013 Summit for Lifetime Achievement recognizes an individual who has earned the honor and respect of peers in the Urban Animal Industry for achievements in their field of endeavor.

The 2013 Summit for Lifetime Achievement will be presented during the Awards Gala on Friday, 18 October 2013. This event is open to the public.
