A Wall Street Journal article by Kevin Kingsbury is worth the read. According to the writer and Bernstein Research analyst Carlos Kirjner, Amazon is now generating cash faster than Jeff Bezos can find investments. Amazon shares moved over $700 this morning before falling back to $699, rising 2.9% for the day and more than 60% in the past year.
Amazon investors may well see shares at $1,000, but what about the impact on other retailers? Now that Amazon has completed large scale investments in warehousing and infrastructure it may be primed to grow margins and broaden product categories.
