Operational Technology (OT) is as Gartner explains: “Hardware and software that detects or causes a change through the direct monitoring and/or control of physical devices, processes and events in the enterprise.”Gathering lots of information as Information Technology (IT) traditionally produces is of little value unless it can act in real time to change something in the enterprise or ecosystem.
