A photo uploaded to Reddit received tons of attention as it illuminated an innovative and heartwarming program. 

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County, P.A., operates a program called "Book Buddies" where children volunteer to read to shelter cats. The program encourages children to read while simultaneously comforting cats, according to the website. 

In just seven hours, the photo garnered over 4,000 upvotes and hit the number one spot on Reddit's front page. Comments on the photo suggest donations are pouring in as a result.
