Thought leaders in the Atlantic Region have spoken

The Urban Animal™ Conference in Atlantic North America is in the books. Thought leaders including researchers, business managers and executives in all sectors of the Urban Animal industry have shared evidence and had their say to move the industry forward. Here are interesting lines from the working groups:

• A more balanced collaboration between by-law enforcement and human animal bonds educations
• Clients need to know where to look - one community portal
• Record keeping - original source, purchaser, vet records
• What is a trustworthy source?
• How do we break down the barriers between sources? Create a united front with a common language.
• If we can add transparency, trust and cooperation we can break down the barriers. 
• Eliminating egocentric behaviours and focusing on things where we can agree. 
• Judge an animal on its own merit not on where it comes from. 
• Talk about realities, not just nice things. 
• Sourcing is important to all sectors we just need to work together.
